Here at Imperfect, Pride means showing the world that love has no boundaries and needs no constraints, qualifiers, or apologies. It also means proving that diversity is beautiful, powerful, and unifying. Although Pride Month is a wonderful time to reflect and support and celebrate the LGBTQ community, we believe that it’s important to continue these efforts year-round. Here’s what that means for our company:
Imperfect employees regularly volunteer at places like Project Open Hand, a fantastic organization that provides meals with love to people with HIV/AIDS as well as the critically ill and elderly. Every day, Project Open Hand prepares 2,500 nutritious meals and provides 200 bags of healthy groceries to help sustain their clients as they battle serious illnesses, isolation, or the health challenges of aging. In addition to volunteering, Imperfect donates produce to Project Open Hand and other centers that serve the LGBTQ community.
We also promote equal employment opportunities at Imperfect. We are proud to have LGBTQ folks and people living with HIV/AIDS working at all levels of our company, including at the senior executive level.
Finally, through our various channels, we support queer visibility, equality, and dignity as an outward expression of our company values, one of which is “be imperfect,” which, for us, means bringing our whole authentic selves to work each day and celebrating what makes us different.
