Never throw out your day-olds again. For bread that’s lost some of its “fresh from the oven” springiness, our food waste solution is a bit of a boozy one. After a dip in this orange-infused bourbon bath, slightly stale Cinnamon Bread reemerges as a delicious bread pudding worthy of breakfast or dessert. Some things just taste better with age. And with bourbon.
Makes 10-12 servings
You gave a suggested substitute for the bourbon, but no amounts for each of the ingredients. Also, are there any other possible substitutions?
It’s a 1/4 cup of water with 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract and 1 tbsp of apple cider vinegar. That’s the main substitution we’d recommend in place of bourbon! ????
Does the rest of the sugar (the 1/3 cup) go in step 3? It’s not listed anywhere except in the ingredient list (⅓ cup plus 1 Tbsp granulated sugar) but step 2 only mentions the 1 Tbsp of sugar.
Yes! The remaining sugar goes in at step 3 ????
